  • Eligibility for home care services depends on the type of support needed and the funding program involved. For Minnesota waiver programs like Individual Home Supports or CFSS, individuals typically need to be enrolled in Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare and receive an assessment from their county lead agency. For private or other funded services, eligibility is based on the individual's care needs. The best first step is to contact us directly — we'll walk you through the options and help determine what fits your situation.

  • We take the hiring process seriously. Every caregiver at Jarar Home Healthcare goes through a thorough screening process including background checks and skills verification. We match caregivers to clients based on care needs, personality, language preferences, and cultural background — because a good match matters as much as qualifications. Our team is committed to ongoing training and held to the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.

  • Yes, and that's exactly how we work. At Jarar Home Healthcare, we don't believe in one-size-fits-all care. Every individual we serve has a unique set of needs, goals, and preferences, and we take the time to understand all of them before building a care plan.

    We work closely with clients, their families, to build a personalized care plan based on the approved services that reflects the person's daily routine, cultural background, language preferences, and personal goals. 

    As needs change over time, care plans can be revisited and adjusted to make sure the support we provide continues to fit the person's life.

  • Absolutely. Jarar Home Healthcare was built with cultural understanding at its core. We serve a diverse community across the Twin Cities and make every effort to match clients with caregivers who share their cultural background or speak their primary language. We believe care is most effective when it's delivered by someone a client feels comfortable and safe with and cultural connection is a big part of that.

  • Once we receive a completed referral, our intake team follows up within one business day. The timeline for services to begin depends on the funding authorization and assessment process,  but we work efficiently to move things forward as quickly as possible.
